Hoopmov

As promised here is  the video for the Coup'd etat Fashion Show I did in April. In the video you will see in addition to my line, two other designers; Able ABE and IRON and INK.   Hoop, a local artist from Chico, did  a great job on the video.  The music being played in the video is "see the sea" by the band Vitalic. For the fashion show I chose to do another Vitalic song called "poison lips".  Both songs capture the enegry I wanted in the fashion show.  Hope you enjoy the video.

April Fools

The show must go on! and it sure did.  April first marked the day that would become my first fashion show ever!  It was such a sweet and exhausting experience. Although I had been preparing for months, I still needed to sew two garments so the day of the show I woke up at 6 in the morning and put together two garments that would complete my goal.  I arrived at the Gallery at 1pm and was busy busy busy until the very end.  Thanks to everyone who attended to support local designers and art and a very very  special thanks to Marc Fitzergerald for giving me the opportunity to showcase my pieces, MPK for all their services, 1078 Gallery, all the sponsors and all the Models who rocked the runway.  Thanks again!

The FIRST One EVer

Chico

The weather is raining cats and dogs now but a week ago, Chico California was as sunny as spring time and just in time for another fashion shoot.  Holly is modeling a little-striped dress that will be featured in an upcoming fashion show in Chico.   The fashion show will be April 1st so I am busy busy busy sewing all the garments together. In addition to the April show I might make two garments for the WOE (Women of excellence) organization  March fashion show at Chico State. 

Once the weather gets better, I will hopefully be able to shoot this pretty floral dress I've been dying to photograph.  

Pasadena

I love this little orange jacket so much that I wear it everywhere I go.   My favorite color is orange so it makes sense that I love it so much. The  new goal of the year is to take pics of absolutely everything I make so I asked my friend Dessy to model for me.  I love this shot. It reminds me of a kardashian.   Hope you enjoy the pics.

Palmdale

So my friend invited me over to Palm dale to visit and I decided to take the opportunity to turn the mini vacation into a photo shoot.  Here I am trying to show Mandy the pose I want.  My boyfriend and I went for a day and stayed for three, such a great mini vacation with friends.

This is my cousin, Yenny, whom I conned into modeling for me.  I thought the beach would be a perfect location for the shoot, boy was I almost wrong.  The wind made a good shot almost impossible but  I was relentless to get a good shot and as a result  we were there for hours.  I was such a bossy photographer.  P.s  it's a wig

This is my first attempt at making a swim suit.  I loved the fabric.

Pretty bows

My inspiration for this dress was ..sexy. Ballerina, Cameryn Titus models the dress in her ballet shoes.
 The back is open and has a bow that meets at the very end of the opening.  I have this dress in a pabst blue.

This is a simple cut, gray dress.

Green summer

After having everyone I know model for me, it was time to try it out.  This is the summer white dress with ruffles at the top.   I wanted a Monroe look, hence the beauty mark.  My friend Victoria Velasquez did a great job on my makeup.
